As a business owner, it is critical to have accurate and timely financial data in order to make informed decisions. Tammy believes a business owner should be empowered through budgeting, forecasting and cash management tools to effectively strengthen and grow their business. She works to develop these tools and communicate results that measure performance and identify solutions to improve their business.
A Kentucky native, Tammy graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and earned a Kentucky CPA certification. She has earned certificates of completion for Banking School I and II at the McIntire School of Commerce associated with the University of Virginia. She has also attained a certificate of completion for a Grant Proposal Writing Workshop from the Grantsmanship Center.
Tammy is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor with Advanced Certification in QuickBooks Desktop, Quickbooks Enterprise, Quickbooks Online and QuickBooks Point of Sale system.
In her capacity with Kentucky Highlands, Tammy is offering the KHIC start QuickBooks program. This unique program is a one year financial management package that can be funded through a micro loan. Tammy works one on one with a customer to utilize the QuickBooks Cloud program to customize an accounting system that best fits their needs. Once the system is in place and working, the customer is trained step by step how to use the QuickBooks features to best manage their finances and their business.
